Day 1 Kumarakom :
Arrival Cochin. Transfer to Kumarakom. The village of Kumarakom is a cluster of little islands on the Vembanad Lake, and is part of the Kuttanad region. The bird sanctuary here, which is spread across 14 acres is a favourite haunt of migratory birds and an ornithologist's paradise. Egrets, darters, herons, teal, waterfowl, cuckoo, wild duck and migratory birds like the Siberian stork that live here in flocks are a fascination for visitors. The best way to watch the birds of the Kumarakom sanctuary is a boat trip round the islands. Check in to the resort. Evening visit the bird sanctuary. Overnight stay at the resort.

Day 2 Kumarakom :
After breakfast visit the nearby places or taste the ayurveda with an ayurvedic massage. Continue the stay at Kumarakom.

Day 3 Houseboat :
Morning proceed to Aleppey to board the houseboat. A houseboat is about 67 feet in length and has a width of around 13 feet in the middle. The materials that go into the making are local and ecofriendly; bamboo poles, coconut fibre, ropes, bamboo mats, carpets etc. All of them have sundeck, private balcony with comfortable chairs, kitchen and toilet with w.c. In addition there is a separate rest room for the crew. Traditional lanterns are used as lights. The crew includes a chef, and two oarsmen. The cuisine is of traditional Kerala flavour. Palm fringed narrow canals winding through the vast expanse of paddy fields and the neat tiny hamlets lined up along either side of the canals are panoramic sight one can never forget. Check into the house boat, on the way watch Kerala typical villages, Coir making, Paddy fields etc. Enjoy the serene backwaters viewing the activities in the local villages on either side of the canals. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 Cochin :
After breakfast proceed to Cochin. Kochi or Cochin is a vibrant city situated on the south-west coast of the Indian peninsula, in the breathtakingly scenic and prosperous state of Kerala, dubbed 'God's Own Country'. Its strategic importance over the centuries is underlined by the sobriquet Queen of the Arabian Sea. Informally, Cochin is also referred to as the Gateway to Kerala. Check in to the hotel. Aftrernoon depart for a sightseeing trip of cochin which includes St. Francis Church, Mattancherry Palace, Jewish Synagogue etc. Evening proceed for a Kathakali program or sunset cruise. Overnight stay at Cochin.

Day 5 Departure :
Depart for airport/railway station for your onward destination
